Dust Right Wall Mount Dust Collector: Model TADC

For jobsite use, we talk a lot about portable dust extractors. If you’re not mobile, dust extraction can become a semi-permanent setup in your shop. One of the advantages is a lot more CFM (air volume) than you get with most portable units. Take the Dust Right wall mount dust collector. Their model TADC-34WN is capable of 650 CFM – much greater than the 150 CFM we prefer in our jobsite dust extractors.

If you’re in a place where space comes at a premium and a 3/4 horsepower unit gets the job done, consider if the $250 Dust Right is the right fit for you.

The collection bag is rated to 30 microns. To put that in perspective, most portable dust extractor systems are set up with either 2-micron paper filters or 0.3 micron HEPA filters. This bag is much more porous, relatively speaking. With that in consideration, you might want to spend an extra $33 on the 5-micron bag or step up your game $200 for the 1-micron canister filter. Just keep in mind there’s a balance. The finer the filter, the more restricted the airflow.

There are a bunch of options to add to the dust collector based on how your shop is set up. Head over to Shop Tool Reviews and check out how Chris Wagoner has put the system to use at his place.
